Robert Black Eagle was a contributor to PaganNews.com and was well known and respected within the Texas pagan community and elsewhere.

Knowing that his time to take the hand of the Goddess was approaching, Robert left these final words that he requested be shared with any who would care to read them. We are honored to carry this last message for Robert, written as he prepared to pass beyond the veil.

Advice for Young Pagans and Old Pagans who have Forgot

Learning -- this life is a school with mostly lessons. When you have a recess, enjoy it, because they don't happen that often.

DANGEROUS PEOPLE:

1. Antagonist: Get the "Antagonist in the Church" workbook so you will be able to recognize them. They will destroy everything.
2. Charismatic -- Are people that you feel comfortable with and agree with when you're around them, but have second thoughts after you're away from them. Trust your second thoughts.
3. Orthodox -- Those people who tell you what to believe and give no lea-way whatever. These people lead to years of misery

Other things:

  • Always trust experience even if that conflicts with what you believe.
  • Question the interpretation of experience.
  • Anything that you believe is true isn't. Don't worry about ambiguity, nothing is quite what it seems.
  • What you believe hinders your growth; this is true about yourself and others.
  • False beliefs about yourself will prevent growth.
  • Don't let anyone break up a community.
  • A good way to mess up your life is to do things because others expect it of you, instead of doing what you really want.
  • Learn to comfront and deal with your issues as they come up.
  • Women: Don't hope for respect -- demand it. If you do, you'll get it.
  • Men: Don't ignore the advice of women. Remember, half of the women you date are smarter than you.
  • Don't let friends or family influence who you date.
  • Learn to receive as graciously as you give.
  • If you act dumb, you will become dumb.
