Pagan News Review by Mike Gleason
This book is a collection of stories published in "Fate" magazine. While it
is not scientific proof of life beyond death, it is a compendium of
anecdotal accounts.
The stories are short, as would be expected because of the space limits of a
magazine. There are 144 accounts in this book, averaging two pages each.
They cover 6 decades (1954 till 2002) and represent everything from family
pets to loved ones making final contact. Some are sad, some are richly
humorous, and some simply ARE.
This is one of those books which, if you believe in life after death, you
can read these stories and say, "Yeah, I can see that happening."; if you
don't believe in an afterlife, you will probably be wasting your time and
money on this one. If, in either case, you are simply looking for a book
with light-weight stories about the afterlife, you will find this an
enjoyable book to read.
This is not a great book, nor is it one that will ever make a "must read"
list. It can be, however an enjoyable break from serious reading, and
certainly will help to pass some time.
