She was directed to a chiropractor who introduced her to muscle testing and was able to tell her what had caused her illness. It took her two years to get well and during this time she started her training.
Betty graduated from the Self Health School of Message and received her Medical Massage Therapist license by the State of Ohio in 1984. She opened her first office in 1987, at this time she also had Foot Reflexology and Polarity Certification. Since that time Betty has not stopped training or learning. “I am like a sponge, I just soak it all up. I love this work because you can see instant results,” said Betty.
Betty has trained in many modalities including Medical Qi Gong in China, Polarity Certification, Neuro Link in New Zealand, Body Talk, Quantum Touch, Reflexology and Integrated Energy Therapy, Symmetry 1, and Zone Therapy and has studied many of the old time healers techniques.

Tea and Tarot combines two of my favorite things. Sharing the spiritual journey Tarots Major Arcana archetypes illuminates us all. So that we can understand ourselves on a deeper level and do the work to heal our souls. All of this over delicious loose leaf tea. From the tantalizing aroma to the surprisingly full flavor, tea elevates and relaxes the mind.

In a warm and comfortable setting, our evenings begin with a guided meditation, followed by tea and further introspection on how this spiritual tool can be used to enrich and guide us in our daily life. Each evening will cover one of the major Arcana cards. Beginning with the fool and ending with the Universe, you do not need to know a thing about Tarot to feel the positive impact there lessons have on our path. This series is for anyone who is looking to do some introspection and healing from blocks and past pain.

To clarify the purpose of the Tea & Tarot meetings, no one will be actually reading the cards for the purposes of divining anyone's future. Instead we will be exploring together the deeper, more spiritual aspects of each card as they relate to the quest of The Fool as he seeks enlightenment. The human drama of life and the evolution of the soul is marvelously depicted through the images and myriad of symbols of the 22 cards of the Major Arcana of the Tarot deck. With these symbols our evolution as spiritual beings living on the material plane is beautifully told. The Tarot, like the Torah, like the Kabbala, is a mystical revelation about the our soul's highest purpose.

The Tarot can also be use as an everyday tool to help us achieve deeper self awareness and empowerment to help us meet our challenges in the most effective way. This perspective of the Tarot is not usually taught or fully appreciated by those who may use the cards for divination purposes alone. But with a deeper understanding of the symbols within each card the Tarot can become a great spiritual companion and guide not only to help us see our destiny but to help us to know ourselves as awakened creators of our destiny.

Emotional Freedom Technique (EFT) is a healing process useful for a wide range of emotional and physical issues. EFT includes tapping on the end points of acupuncture meridians. It is effective for people by themselves, or with assistance, or for group healings. These Thursday sessions are group based, and will focus on the needs of the people who come. We may tap along with a video, or as Jerry leads a volunteer through the EFT process. Dear Parents,
I wanted to be a better parent. I knew from a very young age that there must be a another way. And I was lucky, for soon after my first child, I discovered New Ways of Disciple by Dorothy Baurch. Then along came Between Parent and Child by Haim Ginot. I learned that feelings were natural and needed to be expressed, not shamed and denied. I learned that when children feel heard and accepted, they will behave in acceptable ways. I wanted my children to not suffer the humiliation and shame that my brothers and I experienced. I wanted them to know that I saw them, heard them, honored them and that I would protect them.

Now years later, I have read many wonderful books on child development, parenting and communication. When my youngest child started school, I attended the local community college. Ten years later I had earned a B.S. in Child Development. I went on to receive a Masters in Marriage, Family and Child Therapy. I am a Certified Child Life Specialist and ordained as a Pastoral Family Life Minister. I have raised four children and enjoy the rewards of many grandchildren. Still my heart remembers the years of struggling to find the ways that were different than my own childhood experience.

I developed a curriculum that I have taught through Santa Ana Community College and Western Medical Center. I now offer parenting support through Common Ground Spiritual Center. The Las Vegas MetaMystics Meetup Group

This Thursday, in lieu of the Stand-Up Philosophy routine that we originally scheduled, we are going to do something different and very cool. Tim Freke, international best selling author, is going to read aloud his short book "Lucid Living" and we will follow the reading with a discussion about the book and what Lucid Living means.

This is a very rare opportunity and it will be the one and only time that Tim has read the book aloud outside of recording it for distribution. We are going to record the discussion and it will be made available so that others can discover Tim's message about how to live lucidly.

The setting is going to be very intimate: our house. It is the same setting for the three day event that we are doing this weekend. Whether you have read the book or not, the discussion will likely be very meaningful to you. As we have no cost for the space, the event is FREE for all to attend.

The world is awakening to a new consciousness. Some of us are gradually waking up, occasionally hitting the proverbial snooze button so that we can continue dreaming for a little longer. Others, however, have been woken up as if they were hit upside the head with a baseball bat. For those of us who have had such a radical awakening, we typically remember the event and the surrounding circumstances rather vividly.

Two of our members, Kitty and Lance Baily, share a common thread in their being jarred from unconsciousness. They both came across the book Lucid Living by Tim Freke and it literally changed their lives forever. Kitty attributes her awakening directly to reading Lucid Living. Lance, one of the Enlightened guys at the Sunday Sangha, says that Lucid Living directly led to his Enlightenment. Apparently this must be potent stuff!

Lucid Living can be quite deceptive from its outward appearance. Just like Chuck Hillig’s Enlightenment for Beginners that many of our local community have recently read, Lucid Living is a rather small book with large print which can be read in under an hour. But the message inside the book is obviously significant enough to awaken some of the most aware and conscious members of our group. That being the case, it might just be a good idea to have a group discussion about this little book.

We will be very fortunate to have the author, Tim Freke, read the book aloud (which should take about 30 minutes). We’ll then spend the rest of the time discussing the concepts in the book. While it is not necessary to read the book before attending, if you’re really interested in waking up, I’d encourage you to get a copy for yourself, read it, and come with questions. It’s a rather inexpensive book and can be purchased here at Amazon.

The Crown of Celibacy

This meetup will be open to both men and women, approx 2 hours.

In ancient Tibetan traditions of healing, there is an issue that some people suffer from called "Crown of Celibacy". This is an energetic block in the subtle body - specifically in the Swadhisthana chakra (the sexual chakra) that manifests as dysfunction in relationships. The block is usually created in childhood related to family conditioning, or lack of education about relationships which creates complexes, or can come from issues of abuse. Symptoms of a blocked Swadhisthana are:

1. Inability to communicate - or be intimate - with the opposite sex on all levels: Physical, emotional or intellectual
2. Shyness, awkwardness or being uncomfortable in many social situations
3. Inability to find a partner long term or maintain a relationship
4. Troubles in relationships including frigidity or impotence

The energy in the Swadhisthana becomes solid and blocked and it makes flow and communication in relationships ranging from difficult to impossible.

Sexual energy is not necessarily about sex although it can include it: sexual energy is the energy of life and blocks in this area can affect not only relationships with the opposite sex but all communications including business, friends, family as well as how you present yourself to the world.
